FIGHT - A Toolkit by Gen-Z for Change

The current state of immigration policy in the United States is not only inadequate, it is confusing, dehumanizing, and cruel by design. Every single day, immigrants face ostracization from essential pillars of society, constant infliction of fear, and brutalization by a state apparatus for simply existing.

With the return of the Trump administration, we’ve seen a sharp rise in demonization and vicious intimidation of immigrant communities rhetorically, legislatively, and on-the-ground.

In response, Gen-Z for Change has launched FIGHT: a comprehensive toolkit designed to combat attacks against immigrants through impactful digital and on-the-ground mobilization. Rooted in abolition, FIGHT is designed to work towards dismantling the violent status quo and to build towards a future guarantee of safety, freedom, and dignity for all immigrants.

FUND RAPID RESPONSE ORGS

Across the country, rapid-response groups are mobilizing to provide emergency alerts, legal support, and material intervention in response to ICE activity. These primarily grassroots organizations are unquestionable lifelines for immigrant communities, but oftentimes lack the institutional funding and resources they need to function.

These resources aren’t meant to be confined to our website: post them on social media, drop them in group chats, tape them to bodega doors, bus stops, schools—everywhere your community goes.

Our immigration system isn’t broken, it’s working exactly as designed and is upheld by elected officials who push anti-immigrant policies and rhetoric at all levels of government. We need to replace them with leaders who will adopt an abolitionist approach to immigration policy today.
